Meet Nikki
Nikki King is the Chief Financial Officer at RK Junior Development Group. Drawing from a lifetime spent in accounting and finance, Nikki manages every fiscal transaction that goes into the design and build of RK Junior’s custom Nashville homes. Detailed, consistent, and highly analytical, Nikki benefits RK Junior’s clients by ensuring every penny is put towards quality materials and masterful craftsmanship.
A Background in Finance
A Milwaukee native who’s now spent more time in Nashville, Nikki’s background in accounting is rich and storied. From an early age, Nikki displayed a knack for numbers, so her mother sought opportunities for Nikki in high school summer programs, including a youth position with the Wisconsin DNR in the AP department.
After taking business courses in high school, Nikki attended college and graduated from Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Phoenix with an MBA. To this day, Nikki is still regularly involved in her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and continues to find ways to service her community.
Nikki has worked in finance since high school, serving as an Accounting Assistant for Centerstone Mental Health Center, an AP Supervisor for TurboChef Technologies, a Corporate Accountant at Noranda Aluminum, an Accountant at HCA Physician Services, a Director of Finance at Community Health Systems, and an Accounting Manager at American Health Partners. Nikki became a CPA in 2014.
Deeply Involved in Creating One-of-a-Kind Luxury Nashville Homes
As the CFO for RK Junior, Nikki brings structure to the finance side of all business operations. She provides an in-person, in-the-office presence to ensure clients’ investments are leveraged to produce the highest-quality luxury custom homes attainable at the best price possible. “Processes, procedures, and controls are necessary to run a successful business,” Nikki said when asked about her role. “When we’re handling business finances with 100% efficiency, our clients benefit by knowing their investment is going to a stellar home made from quality materials and built by honest, talented subcontractors.”
Nikki wears many hats. She is deeply involved in client and investor relationships because so much of making a construction project work depends on finance. Taking her role seriously, Nikki spends much of her time researching material costs, monitoring price fluctuations, assessing construction loan options, and ensuring employees and subcontractors are paid on time. “One of the hallmarks of RK Junior is the transparency approach,” Nikki said. “We’re an open book. I’m always happy to answer questions about how finance works in designing and building custom homes. We think transparency establishes trust and helps us build quality homes for our clients.”

When she’s not volunteering, Nikki spends time with her family, sings in her church choir, supports her daughters on their sports teams, and plays with the family dog, Nipsey.
